Himalaya Trekking is one of the most famous and relatively easy trek in Nepal, designed to entertain you with the panoramic views of Himalayas including Annapurna and Fishtail and with the cultural aspects of the ethnic Gurung people rich in culture, tradition and hospitality.
This Himalayan Trekking is characterized for its gradual increase of elevation, which gives the trekkers a chance to go through and experience many villages on the way. The whole route is filled with various types of landscapes due to the different elevation, but also different types of villages inhabited by various ethnic groups. The culmination of the trek is the village of Ghorepani (2800 m) and Poonhill (3210).
The one hour trek to the view point Poonhill starts early morning after a night spent in Ghorepani. Poonhill is definitely one of the biggest highlights of the trek as it offers a superb panorama of both Annapurna and Dhaulagiri bathed in the first rays of the sun.
Another awesome feature of the trek is that the downward return route is different and goes through one of the biggest forests of rhododendron in the world.
