everest base camp trek

Trekking to the foot of the highest peak of the world, Mount Everest indeed is a reverie for any trekkers all around the world. The trend to follow the footprints of the trail began after Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary summited Everest in 1953. Essentially, during Everest Base Camp Trek you will pass through the world’s most outstanding and serene upland scenery. You will explore around numerous villages experiencing way of life and culture of people especially ‘Sherpas’ residing in the heart of Himalayas. Any trekker will be entirely swayed as s/he pass through the paths lined with Mani walls carved with Tibetan Buddhist prayers, walk on the Khumbu glacier, visit ancient monasteries and climb Kala Patthar set at the elevation of 5,555m.

Just fantasizing to reach at the top of the world might give you terrific feeling. Standing opposite to the soaring peaks of the Everest region especially, the world's three highest mountains including Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu, will surge the rhythms of your heart beat. We will start our hike to Everest base camp as we land to Lukla Airport after a picturesque 30-minute flight from Kathmandu. From Lukla, we will make way to attention-grabbing village and move down to the Dudh Koshi River. Walking ahead subsequently, we will arrive at the Everest region and get a perfect chance to pass by Sagarmatha National Park. We will also pass a set named Jorsale and reach Namche Bazaar, a central trading location of the region and gateway to Everest.

We will also walk by Syangboche Airport from where we will get to the Everest View Hotel for catching panoramic vistas of Everest, Tawache, Lhotse and Amadablam. Then, we will also traverse a colorful bridge decorated with prayer flags hung above the Dudh Koshi River before reaching Tengboche. Exploring around a popular transcendent hub of Khumbu - Tengboche monastery and the close up scenes of Mt Nuptse, Mt Amadablam and Mt Everest in the backdrop totally captivates you.

To continue our voyage to get to Everest Base Camp, we will also pass through the settlement- Dingboche passing numerous Chortens and Mani walls. After that, we will walk to Gorakshep passing from side to side with the horizontal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. Gorakshep too rewards us with breathtaking vista of the amazing landscape particularly sights of Kala Patthar and a rock face below Mt. Pumori are unquestionably memorable.

Then, walking alongside the Gorakshep Lake, we will trek to reach at the most awaited destination of the entire trek i.e. Everest Base Camp. We also climb Kala Patthar to see the sunrise views over the gigantic peaks including Mt. Everest is another fascinating part of the trek. After experiencing the feeling to be at the top of the world and capturing the amazing views of wonderful surroundings in our mind, we will return to Lukla following the same route.
