Bale Mountain national park
This trek takes you in the largest Afro Alpine habitant in the whole of Africa. It is an area of high altitude plateau that is fragmented by numerous remarkable volcanic plugs and peaks, beautiful alpine lakes and mountain streams that run down in the deep rocky gorges on their way to the lowlands. It is safe haven for various endemic mammals including the Ethiopian Wolf, Mountain Nyala, and many endemic bird species. There are also picks which rise more than 4000 meters and Mount TulluDeemtu with an altitude of 4,377 meters above sea level, is the 2nd highest peak in Ethiopia next to RasDasshen in north. The Bale Mountains secluded in their high mountains remain to be unspoiled and exceptionally beautiful.
