Day 1: Arrival and overnight in Entebbe

You will be met on arrival by your driver / guide who will warmly receive and welcome you. You will be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe. Dinner and overnight stay at A) Airport Guest House (B&B)

Day 2: Birding tour to Mabamba Wetland, and Mpanga Forest

After an early breakfast, we commence our trip by driving to the Mabamba Swamp, 50km west of Kampala, the capital of Uganda. Stop en route at Mpigi Swamp for papyrus rarities. Open your eyes for a White-winged Warbler, Papyrus Gonolek, Yellow-backed Weaver, Northern Brown-throated Weaver, Blue-headed Coucal, and other swamp specialties. At the swamp, most of the birding is done on a canoe, paddled by our local site guides. Look out for the Shoebill both in the sky and down on the marsh. Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. (5-6 Hours)

You will have a supplement of the scenic beauty as you drive to Uganda’s smallest park en route- Stop by the Equator for photo shot. Continue to Mbarara the country home of the Ankole long horned cattle. Where you will enjoy scenery of vast plains reaching in time for lunch after which you will do a boat ride in the afternoon. Watch out for mammal of the area and water life animals. Dinner and overnight at A) Eagles nest, (B, L, D) Upgrade to B) Mantana Tented Camp, C) Mihingo Lodge

Day 4: Whole day birding and game drive in the park

Today, we begin very early with a game drive on the various tracks found within the park. You have chances of viewing large herds of mammals like Impalas, Elands, Topi and Buffaloes. The bird population here is also rich hence birders will have chances of Green-becked Woodpecker. Also of interest here is the African Fin foot, White–winged Warbler, Papyrus Yellow Warbler, Carruthers Cisticola, and Papyrus Gonolek. Day 5: Birding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (5-6Hours)

Today, we shall spend most of the day driving to Bwindi. Bwindi Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to approximately half of the world’s endangered population of Mountain Gorillas. Forest birding in Bwindi ranks as one of the best bird watching experiences in Uganda and Africa. Excellent forest birding and the prospect of sightings of numerous rare and localized Albertine Rift endemics makes this a true birding paradise. Day 6: Whole day birding in the forest

On this day, we set out for a whole day birding in the forest. Special birds you have chances of seeing include Black-faced Rufous Warbler, Grauer's Warbler, Banded Prinia, Black-faced Apalis, Black-throated Apalis, Mountain Masked Apalis, Red-throated Alethe, Yellow-eyed Black-Flycatcher, Ashy Flycatcher, Dusky-blue Flycatcher, Chapin's Flycatcher, Chin-spot Batis, Rwenzori Batis, Black-and-white Shrike-flycatcher, White-bellied Crested-flycatcher, African Golden Oriole, Stuhlmann's Starling, Narrow-tailed Starling, Short-tailed Warbler, Neumann's Warbler and Red faced Woodland-Warbler. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas (B, L, D) Upgrade to B) Engagi lodge, C) Mahogany springs.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking – Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi

This morning, after breakfast, we shall assemble at the park offices for briefing prior to this historic event. Gorilla tracking is a very captivating activity; it involves walking in the wilderness in search of these great but gentle apes. It can be a physically challenging activity, therefore ensure physical fitness. Each encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas (B, L, D) Upgrade to B) Engagi Lodge, C) Mahogany springs.

Day 8: Transfer to Kampala and Airport. (4-5 Hours)

You will walk up early and have breakfast before you embark on your journey back to the Capital city where you will reach in the afternoon and having been enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories, you will say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa and you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home
